The spring challenge
4 week fitness challenge
Welcome to my 4 week fitness challenge, that can be completed in the comfort of your own home (not that we have any choice right now).
It’s so important to prioritise some time to move. Exercise benefits both your physical and mental health - your brain and body will thank you for taking part.

Newbie, fitness-obsessed or somewhere in the middle? The workouts will be suitable for all levels and I'll be sharing a weekly email to ensure you get the most out of the challenge.
So, what's included?
-
Live 45 min virtual workouts at 7 am each Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
-
A recording of each workout will be shared by 10 am if you can't make it live.
-
Access to a private Facebook group for the 4 week period.
-
A Monday check-in email including tips and motivation for the week ahead.
-
This email will link you to a form to reflect on your week, set goals for the week ahead, and it's a chance to ask questions about fitness or nutrition.
-
I'll answer the questions as part of an email or video.
-
Branded daily and weekly planner desk pads (worth £13) to plan out and track your progress.
What will you need?
Chair
This can be a dining chair, a block or the side of a sofa.
dumbbell/kettlebell
One maybe two weights that challenge you will help you get the most out of the challenge (more info below).
long resistance band
These are my favourite for at home workouts. I've added a link to the one I have below.
floor space
You don't need much space but you'll need a yoga mat or a carpeted area.
time
You'll need to be able to find time to do 3 x 45 minute workouts each week.
What will you need?
I will give adaptions for heavier/lighter weights but to really benefit from the workouts I recommend having at least one set of dumbbells or a kettlebell.
The weight you'll need depends on your starting point but as a rough guide, I'd recommend having one weight around 4KG-6KG+ for single-arm work (e.g. shoulder press) and one around 8-12KG+ for lower-body work (e.g. squats).

It's worth looking at Argos, Sports Direct, Decathlon or Facebook marketplace. You may be able to adapt to household items like a heavy rucksack.

You will also need a long resistance band. These are brilliant for home workouts and cost about £10. I've added an affiliate link to the one I have here.
How do you sign up?
The programme costs £40. You need to have signed up and paid before Wednesday 17th March, ready to start the challenge on Monday 22nd March. The challenge runs for 4 weeks.
The desk pads will be posted out to you in time for the challenge start date. UK delivery is included.
